Welcome to Sandville Self Help Centre

We are pleased to announce that from Tuesday 7th September the Centre will reopen in a limited capacity, and on a trial basis.
We will be open 10:30-1:00 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Teas, coffees, and biscuits will be served at your table, but no food or therapies will currently be on offer.
We will be operating a one-way system; social distancing will apply, and hand sanitising stations will be situated throughout the centre. Individuals’ details will be taken for Track and Trace purposes.
We kindly ask that you only attend if you have been double vaccinated, so that we can help ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, and other patients.
Please ensure you wear a Mask or Visor while visiting the centre.

Sandville Self Help Centre, established February 1983, is open to all people suffering difficulties, we offer help in a very relaxed and happy atmosphere. Our Motto is 'Listening, Looking, Learning, Loving, Laughter will enable you to Live a Longer healthier Life'. Sandville offers you a people centered service with social and psychological care for patients and families. Overnight facilities are also available on request. We can provide transport from the Bridgend area to Velindre Hospital for patients who require Radiotherapy or Chemotherapy. Every week we offer a range of complimentary therapies and activities including, Reflexology, Self Hypnosis, Reiki, Hydrotherapy and Acupuncture. We also support continuing education with seminars and workshops and offer placements for Schools, Collages and Nursing.   

We are a completely independent, self-funded charity that relies year on year from donations from the public. There is no charge for any of our services but should you wish to donate please see a member of staff, call the centre, or use our Just Giving page.

Set in beautiful surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with beautiful views and a welcoming environment you will soon feel at home, everyone is welcome and there are no appointments, just turn up and we will go through everything with you. We have a small charity shop on site that stocks everything from clothes to cookware and houses our own hair salon. There is a bar in the main house and we are host to regular daytime entertainment to occupy you while you are waiting for therapies. Cleaning Day


Therapies start from 9:45am Self Hypnosis, Reiki, Pool Therapy on a one to one basis, Form Therapy, Homeopathy, Hairdressing.


Reflexology from 10am, Self Hypnosis, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Pool Therapy.

We also host a Wednesday evening clinic which hosts massage therapy


Pool Therapy from 11am, Self Hypnosis, Hairdressing, Reiki Therapy from 10am, Homeopathy, Hand & Foot Massage, Reflexology.


Specialist day/Multiple Sclerosis plus Reflexology & Reiki.


Our weekly church service takes place 11:30am at St Michael's Church which everyone is welcome to attend.
