Saturday 5th Our monthly Table Top took place, and what a superb day was had by everyone. Quite a lot of new faces and loads of goodies were on sale. The event was opened by Megan Butcher ex-Mayor of Bridgend.  Wo broke the record by taking a total of £800  clear profit. Thanks to everyone who made it such a lovely afternoon.

Wednesday 9th Six GP Trainees came here from Dr Harobs training centre for the day. They were greeted and shown around by Gareth then they had teas and coffees. Following this they met the therapists who practice reflexology, Reiki, massage and were able to watch our disabled patients in the hydrotherapy pool. After giving them lunch I had two of our patients to talk about their illness and why they had come to Sandville and eventually trained as Reiki therapists. My thanks to Ann and Tony for talking to the trainees. We also had a final year medical student from Sarn surgery Nicholas Preston who although only spent a short time with us did enjoy the day. We had  7 first and second year students spending the day with us from the University of South Wales and three from Swansea university they too thoroughly enjoyed the experience of Sandville.

Monday 14th.Once again Abdul opened the Bengal lounge for an excellent fund raising night in aid of Sandville. We were down in numbers only 47 but it was truly a superb meal and entertainment all first class. My thanks goes to everyone who supported us especially Martin who arranged the entertainment, Becky the soloist and Jeff Tombs who gave the wonderful garden seat for the raffle, which Marilyn and Trish did for me. A total of £1000 was made, so cheers to Abdul and his staff and everyone who supported us.

Wednesday 30th Twelve staff from Lloyds bank in Cardiff came here  to do their days work as volunteers. They were all able to experience our therapies we offer to patients. Following lunch they went to town spring cleaning our Church, Education centre, hair salon, and shop. My grateful thanks goes to them all.
