Ceri Sims - Head of Finance
With a passion for the work of Sandville Self Help Foundation since its beginnings in 1983, I bring over three decades of professional experience in finance, retail management, and administration to my role as Head of Finance, a position I’ve held since 2022. I am deeply committed to the charity’s mission and proud to contribute to its continued growth and financial sustainability.
After earning my OND in Business and Accounting, I began my career at Lloyds Bank, gaining valuable financial experience over two years. I then spent two years as a receptionist at Court Coleman before moving into payroll and accounts at The Knights Arms, where I worked for five years.
In 2000, I joined Peacocks, starting as a Sales Assistant and progressing to Assistant Manager over a ten-year span. I was later promoted to Store Manager, a role I held for eight years. This period helped me develop strong leadership, financial oversight, and team management skills—expertise that now benefits my work with the charity.
As Head of Finance, I oversee budgeting, reporting, and financial planning, ensuring transparency and efficiency in everything we do. My long-standing connection to the charity fuels my work every day, and I am proud to play a role in supporting its ongoing impact in the community.
