Volunteer For Us
Volunteers are the backbone of Sandville Self Help Foundation, helping us provide vital services and create welcoming, supportive spaces for Individuals diagnosed with life limiting and life changing conditions, their families, carers and visitors. Whether you're volunteering in our charity shop, serving in the café, assisting in the Therapy Centre, providing Complementary Therapies, Garden and Art Therapy, fundraising or welcoming and supporting at reception, your contribution helps us reach more people and do invaluable work every day.
Where You Can Volunteer
We offer a wide variety of volunteer roles to match different interests, skills, and availability:
- Charity Shop – Help sort donations, price items, manage displays, and serve customers. Your work helps raise crucial funds for our services.
- Café & Kitchen – Assist with food preparation, serving, cleaning, and creating a friendly and inclusive environment.
- Mobility Suite, Wellbeing Studio & Hydrotherapy Pool – Support Sandville Self Help Foundation Health & Wellbeing Instructors in the delivery of mobility activities, helping members feel welcome, safe and confident in using our facilities.
- Reception – Greet visitors, answer phones, book appointments, and provide helpful information — a key role in creating a positive first impression.
- Gardening – Help maintain and improve our green spaces, offering calm and therapeutic outdoor areas for the community to enjoy.
- Complementary Therapies, Art Therapy & Hairdresser/Wellbeing Roles – Use your skills to provide a boost in confidence and self-care for those who may not otherwise have access to these services. Complementary Therapy volunteers will need Personal Liability Insurance, to be a member of an Accredited Society and produce their relevant qualifications.
- Events & Fundraising – Support charity events, local campaigns, and community outreach activities to help raise awareness and funds.
