Wendy Parsons – Nutrition, Catering & Housekeeping Assistant
Before joining Sandville Self Help Foundation I worked for 18 years as a Post Office Counter Clerk with Royal Mail, a role I thoroughly enjoyed, particularly the daily interaction with the public. I later retired to care for a family member.
I joined Sandville Self Help Foundation initially as a volunteer, following in the footsteps of my mother, who had been a dedicated volunteer for over 35 years. Over the years, I have seen the charity grow and evolve, and I’m proud to have played a part in that journey.
My current role funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, focuses on nutrition, catering, and housekeeping. I help ensure that the individuals we support receive balanced, nutritious meals tailored to their specific dietary needs. From meal planning and food preparation to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, I work closely with the team to create a safe, welcoming, and nourishing environment for all. It’s a deeply fulfilling role, and I take great pride in contributing to the wellbeing of others. I feel honoured to be part of a charity that puts care, dignity, and compassion at the heart of everything it does.
